Foxconn prepares US, Mexico plants for potential 25% tariffs
Foxconn, the largest contract electronics manufacturer, is preparing to adapt to possible new United States tariffs, according to chairman Young Liu.
The company supplies Apple and has production facilities in both the US and Mexico.
Liu noted that these locations provide flexibility in response to a proposed 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada.
This tariff announcement, made by US President Donald Trump, is paused until March 4.
Liu mentioned that Foxconn would adjust its production capacities based on the tariff policies.
