Coinbase, a leading cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, has acquired Spindl, an on-chain advertising and attribution platform founded in 2022 by Antonio Garcia-Martinez.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Following the acquisition, Spindl will operate under Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network developed by Coinbase.

Coinbase plans to integrate Spindl’s technology into Base while maintaining open standards for publishers and advertisers to support a fair and inclusive ecosystem.
