China criticizes Taiwan for moving chip industry to US

China has criticized Taiwan, claiming that the island is allegedly transferring its semiconductor industry to the US as a “souvenir.”

This statement follows reports from US media indicating that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the largest contract chipmaker in the world, has been in talks regarding a possible investment in Intel.

TSMC, which supplies major companies such as Apple and Nvidia, has not provided further comments on these discussions.
