Apple’s iOS 18.2 beta adds real-time AirTag location sharing
Apple has launched a new feature in its iOS 18.2 public beta, allowing users to share the location of lost AirTags.
This ‘Share Item Location’ feature creates a link that provides live updates of the item’s location on an interactive map.
This feature helps track items like luggage and lets the users deactivate the shared link, which expires after seven days.
It is currently accessible in the iOS 18.2 public beta across most regions, with plans to expand to iPhone X and newer models.
The functionality will be available to over 15 airlines, such as Delta, United, and Lufthansa.
