Apple is projected to delay a significant update to its voice assistant, Siri, until 2027, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This new version is expected to launch alongside iOS 20.

In the meantime, Apple will introduce incremental improvements to Siri.

A new iteration is set to debut in May, incorporating features from Apple Intelligence that were revealed nearly a year ago.

This update is designed with a dual-system approach. One component manages basic commands, such as setting timers, while another handles more complex functions using user data.

A fully integrated version, referred to as “LLM Siri,” is anticipated to be showcased at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2025, with a target launch in spring 2026.
