Apple, Alibaba partner for AI features in iPhones in China

Apple has partnered with Alibaba Group to incorporate AI features into iPhones aimed at the Chinese market, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The partnership focuses on Alibaba’s Qwen AI model, which Apple considers to have advanced capabilities.

This collaboration is part of Apple’s strategy to find a local AI partner, as its Apple Intelligence feature is not available in China.
