Mushi’s G-1 challenge: is this going to be his next team?

If the results of the great Dota 2 Chinese reshuffle left you wondering what happened to Chai Yee “Mushi” Fung, allow us to tell you that he’s no longer going back to China. Here’s his statement on his official Facebook page:

Depending on how keenly you have been following the scene, that may or may not have been surprising. What team he will be in next, however, is still unconfirmed. What is confirmed, though, is that he’ll be “taking some players to join [a] small tournament”.

A few days ago, Mushi announced his participation in the Gigabyte G1-Gaming challenge where he invited Dota 2 teams from Malaysia and Southeast Asia to challenge him and his team. Whoever will be able to beat Mushi’s team in a best of three series will get $500. The members of Mushi’s team turned out to be Jun “dabeliuteef” Liong Loh, Lee “kYxY” Kong Yang, Chong “Ohaiyo” Xin Khoo, and Wai “Net” Pern Lim.

These names may not really come as a surprise, but might trigger speculation about Mushi’s new team. KYxY, Ohaiyo, and Net were part of the Team Orange roster that finished third in The International 2013 (TI3) and are now playing in Team Titan along with Joel Chan “XtiNcT” Zhan Leong and Ng Wei “YamateH” Poong.
