How Tech in Asia goes beyond mere news reporting

Dear readers,

Happy holidays! As we take stock of the year, one of the biggest moves we’ve made was launching a subscription program. We’re grateful for all the support we’ve gotten so far.

One of the reasons why we did so was to give ourselves the resources to go beyond the mere reporting of facts.

We were the only ones to analyze the legal implications of Go-Jek’s copying of Grab’s maps.

We were also the only ones who did a detailed reporting of luxury ecommerce player Reebonz’s financials as it goes for its IPO on the Nasdaq.

We hope to do more of such reporting in the coming year. But as you know, articles like these require hours upon hours of work. Your support will go a long way in helping us add depth to the coverage of Asia’s tech industry.

If you’re not a subscriber, do give us a shot, just like how decision-makers from the top tech companies have done so.

Here are the subscriber-only reads that we’ve published in the past week:

  1. How Ofo spun out of control: An ex-employee’s account
  2. Grab may have cause to sue Go-Jek over map copying, say lawyers
  3. How a factory worker’s son turned Tokopedia into a giant (infographic)
  4. 5-month-old Indonesian startup banks $600k from Golden Gate and Antler
  5. This tech could be the secret ingredient to the mass adoption of robots
  6. It’s been a rough year for Tech in Asia. Here’s how we’re bouncing back
  7. Meet the 50 top-funded startups and tech companies in Singapore

  9. Rising startups in Japan this week: An AI analyst that makes UI/UX suggestions
  10. Singapore’s luxury marketplace Reebonz on the verge of listing in the US

Have a good break!
