Meet Singapore’s best startup employers in 2026

It’s been a tough time for Southeast Asia’s tech ecosystem. Funding is down, and layoffs are up – but the region’s startups haven’t let that get them down. They’re still building, still growing, and still disrupting.

Startups are essential to the larger story of innovation. They create solutions to age-old challenges – or new ones that have emerged with the digital economy.

Working for a startup often comes without the perks and stability of a large corporation. Yet many people choose to do so all the same, relishing the opportunities these companies offer around flexibility, creativity, and building something that really makes a difference.

In light of this, we deemed it important to highlight the startups doing right by their employees, offering support and benefits, and building workplaces that give people the opportunity to do high-impact, meaningful, and multifaceted work.

Tech in Asia, in collaboration with Statista, a leading international provider of market and consumer data and rankings, is proud to present the inaugural list of Singapore’s Top Startup Employers.

For its 2026 edition, we screened over 8,500 companies across 23 industries, with just 200 businesses making the shortlist. The lineup includes startups of all sizes, from those with less than 50 employees to ones with over 500.

We evaluated these companies based on the following criteria:

  • Employer reputation: We monitored social media, news platforms, and other channels to assess brand sentiment, employer attractiveness, and online visibility.
  • Employee satisfaction: We leveraged publicly available data and platforms to gain insights into company culture, workplace benefits, and employee sentiment, among others.
  • Growth: We examined headcount expansions, active job listings, and website traffic to determine growth.

Here are the top five companies based on our criteria:

  • LingoAce
  • Sleek
  • Augmentus
  • Elfie
  • SecretLab

Employer and employee relationships today can feel strained because of economic concerns, shareholder demands, and anxieties over the bottom line. Through this list, we aim to spotlight the importance of this relationship and the role it plays in creating meaningful, valuable work that will drive our ecosystem forward.
