SoftBank backs $100m funding of Australian unicorn Go1
Go1, an Australia-based professional development platform, has raised US$100 million from AirTree Ventures, Blue Cloud Ventures, Five Sigma, Madrona, Salesforce Ventures, and SoftBank Vision Fund 2.
The deal bumps up Go1’s valuation to over US$2 billion and pushes the total funds raised by the company to US$400 million.

Founded in 2015 by Andrew Barnes and Chris Eigeland, Go1 provides companies with learning resources for their employees. Currently, it has over five million users across the world, with North America being its largest market.
The firm acquired Coorpacademy to enter the European market, and it expanded its reach to Southeast Asia with offices in Malaysia and Singapore. The Australia-based platform also bought professional workshop provider Education Changemakers.
Recently, Go1 has appointed several top executives such as Marc Havercroft as president, Ashleigh Loughnan as chief people officer, Ben Allen as chief marketing officer, Antony Ugoni as chief data officer, and Jared Goralnick as senior vice president of product management.
Last year, the company raised US$200 million in a funding round led by SoftBank, AirTree Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures, which pushed its valuation to over US$1 billion.
