For the first of Manchester’s quarterly Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series, they have brought in Bill Liu, Chairman and Managing Partner of Stream Global Pte Ltd to present and share his wealth of experience in helping entrepreneurs and assisting start-up companies.
This Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series will feature talks by established and experienced alumni and will be a good opportunity for networking, sharing and learning.
Installment 1: Do You Have What It Takes To Be An Entrepreneur? Will Your Venture Fly?
Given the current economic downturn, more people are looking into entrepreneurship as an avenue to making a living. Bill will share his insights as a venture catalyst on what investors look for in an entrepreneur and their start-up companies as well as what differentiates a successful company from an also-ran. He will provide examples of why some investee companies succeed while others failed and some lessons learnt from them. On the question of fund raising, he will provide some tips on the sources of funds for start-ups in Singapore and how to obtain them.
