Find It, Find Out – Reviews For Food and Art Performances

FIFO (an acronym for Find it, Find out) was “started by a group of friends who wanted a resource to help them make their lives easier by finding the perfect place to eat within seconds, to knowing what’s going on out there in Singapore.”

P – The Problem

Looking at their ‘About Us’ page:

Our food pages complement the well-lived life to round off your evenings with delectable offerings after (or before) you’ve appreciated the arts. We don’t believe living the good life should cost that much – and you can start believing that too!

1. Lack of access to promotions for art-related events.
2. Lack of informed reviews to aid in choosing events to attend.
3. Lack of information on food in Singapore.

I – The Idea

Create a site that aggregates information on art performances and food establishments in Singapore while providing access to promotions.

S – The Solution

Let’s start with problem 3. There are already many well known sites that will aid the hungry and discerning foodies in Singapore. Some established ones like ‘‘I Eat, I Shoot, I Post‘, HungryGoWhere and Yum.sg seem to have a larger database of reviews and more active communities. With regards to promotions, HungryGoWhere and Yum.sg seem to offer a wider range of offerings.

With regards to problem 2, a casual perusal (possibly an oxymoron) seems to indicate a lack of reviews. Most content describing performances seem to be marketing copy. The interviews done are probably the most interesting content available.

For problem 1, there doesn’t seem to be any promotions currently offered to readers of the site.
