8020cto will guide the founders of AC Ventures’ portfolio companies on streamlining their technical and business strategies as well as coach their CTOs and engineers. When needed, the firm can also step in to help solve more complex technical issues like machine learning or cybersecurity challenges.
“Software engineering leadership is difficult because it demands the individual to be an exceptional technologist, have a strong business sense, and possess excellent leadership ability,” said 8020cto founder Jeffrey Scholz.
Founded in 2021, the firm focuses on helping series A companies and those in the earlier stages. It offers the expertise of software engineering executives from companies like Coinbase, Apple, and Yahoo.
AC Ventures also reached the first close of its fifth fund recently, which had a target of US$250 million.
