In this list from six months ago, we see a list of games that had been added to the Steam database, but had not yet been released. At the bottom of the first part of the list, there is The King of Fighters XIII (KOF13), the SNK Playmore console fighting game, strongly suggesting that the game was coming to Steam. Today, there still isn’t an official Steam page for KOF but there is a Steam trailer. The trailer shows us a bit of gameplay, some cutscenes and a King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition logo in the end. If that does not convince you, you might want to try typing “SNK” in Steam’s search bar. SNK Playmore appears as well as a search result labeled KOF13SE_OP with the KOF13 logo as thumbnail.
Neither SNK nor Steam has made an official statement, but seeing as Steam’s registry has been updated accordingly, an official announcement may be coming soon. Here’s the video of the King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition trailer:
