In brief: WeWork to raise up to $4b in debt ahead of IPO, source says
- Co-working space provider WeWork looks to raise US$3 billion to US$4 billion in debt ahead of its initial public offering to build up investor confidence in the company, Reuters reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.
- The money raised from the debt offering could grow up to US$10 billion over the next few years, the source said.
- With a sustainable debt offering, money-losing WeWork would be able to pitch itself to potential investors as having enough funding to achieve profitability.
