Kotaku shows us how big a makeover FFX got in its remastered version.

When I first played Final Fantasy X on my PlayStation 2 (PS2), I was absolutely blown away with how beautiful everything looked. Everything looked so sharp and vibrant. I just couldn’t get enough. Now that I’m playing through the PS Vita version of the newly remastered classic, I have to say I didn’t notice a shocking difference.

Yes the game looked great, and yes there was a noticeable upgrade in terms of color and quality. But it didn’t seem to be that big of a difference from my memories of the PS2 version.

Well Kotaku showed me just how badly I let my memory cloud my judgement. Take a look.

It’s funny how you can build something up in your head to have been so much better than it actually was. Thank you Kotaku for giving me perspective, and thank you Square Enix for making this masterpiece all the better.
