Malaysian healthtech startup 🤝 doctors organization to expand health services

Healthtech firm DoctorOnCall has inked a partnership with the Malaysian Muslim Doctors Organization (Perdim), enabling the latter’s members to list their services on the former’s platform.

The collaboration will also enable Perdim members to offer remote health services such as teleconsultation and home monitoring, while also making it easier for patients to make bookings for physical appointments at the member doctor’s clinics.

The move aims to cut down congestion at healthcare facilities, which can be detrimental to those who are immunocompromised or at high risk, by eliminating the need for travel or waiting in an in-person queue.

Dr. Boi Saidi bin Abdul Razak, president of Perdim, said that while the organization’s goal was not to eliminate physical consultations entirely, it wants to complement physical consultation with virtual care services to increase provider-patient engagement quality.

DoctorOnCall also features a B2B marketplace that digitalizes and facilitates the procurement process between distributors and clinics or individual doctors. It provides buyers with access to procure a wider variety of products at a low minimum order quantity, as well as financing options and fulfillment services.

Currently, DoctorOnCall has over 1,000 medical practitioners that it has connected to close to 700,000 patients.
