Kimberley is 2009 Laureate of Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards

You know what’s awesome? When your startup and business is recognised by people. You know what’s even more awesome? When this recognition comes with international features, USD 20,000, a trophy designed by the jewellery workshops of Cartier and a full year of personalised coaching from Cartier, McKinsey & Co., and INSEAD Business School!

Kimberley Ong is one of the five 2009 Laureates of the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards. She’s from Philippines but has been in Singapore for the past few years. She’s currently with Expara IDM Ventures. She took part in the Awards with her own startup, a social entrepreneurshp venture, AlgaVentures.

There were 820 entrepreneurs who applied and only 15 entrepreneurs reached the Finals and in the end, only 5 Laureates were chosen to represent the five geographical regions that encompass all countries: Africa, Asia (including the Oceania Zone and the Middle-East), Europe, Latin America (including the Caribbean) and North America. Kimberley is the 2009 Asia Laureate. Congrats, Kim!
