In brief: Singapore’s Forum Capital to launch pre-series A vehicle for fintech startups
- Fintech venture builder Forum Capital is looking to launch an investment vehicle intended to bridge a funding gap for early-stage fintech startups in Southeast Asia.
- “[…] We’ve been approached by people to put together a pre-series A vehicle,” said Forum Capital founder and CEO Greg Krasnov, adding that it would not be a venture capital fund. “It’s to help our companies get through the funding gap.”
- According to Krasnov, the company usually provides startups with seed funding of up to US$500,000, then get family and friends to push it to the US$1 million mark.
- Krasnov declined to disclose the vehicle size but said the firm targets to launch it this year.
