The company will invest the new funds in the research and development of new applications and to create a “one-stop” digital platform to deploy its 3D printing and manufacturing technologies.
Founded in 2016, 3D Printing Corporation aims to build a supply chain by incorporating 3D printing into existing manufacturing technologies. It offers services including design for additive manufacturing solutions and consulting, as well as system sales.
The Japanese firm said its platform aims to shorten the time for manufacturers’ adoption of 3D printing technologies by offering clients the core formula and process through a digital library that builds on its catalog of 3D printers and post-processing solutions.
“Additionally, our shareholders from this growth-financing round will offer further access to key Japanese enterprises searching for solutions to bring higher-performing products to market faster,” the company said in a statement.
The company closed US$1.1 million in a series A round from Yamanashi Chugin Management Consulting and Mirai Souzou in 2019.
