The company will use the new funds to further expand into the Southeast Asian region starting with Singapore, as well as into Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
According to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the digital consumer and advertising revenue in Singapore is expected to grow by 11.7% over the next five years to reach S$2.9 billion (US$2.2 billion).
With an eye on the market, Quintype aims to help digital media publishers accelerate their digital push. Through its platform, digital publishers can use its plugins and features to improve their content management, audience engagement, and monetization strategies. Meanwhile, Quintype’s team will help with backend operations such as server management.
Additionally, the platform also offers an in-depth analytics feature that helps publishers make decisions regarding their content.
Along with the investment, the Indian startup is also launching a layout configuration management solution called Page Builder. It can help publishers manage website branding, layouts, and styles through its no-code development platforms.
Launched in 2016, the company claims it has served over 200 publishers, including Prothom Alo, BloombergQuint, and The Quint.
The latest investment comes after the company raised US$3.25 million in a seed round in 2015.
