Introducing TIA Live: Your all-access pass to events and workshops

In 2012, Tech in Asia made our first conference debut Startups in Asia. We started out organizing events as a way to better connect startups, investors, and everyone else in the ecosystem.

Eight years later and our goal has remained the same – although we now achieve them through different means. With the pandemic changing how we communicate and interact, it may be a while longer before we can resume making physical handshakes and connecting in person.

In acknowledging and accepting this new normal, we saw an opportunity to reinvent our events and have since gone virtual. Through trial and error – and with some sweat and tears – we have built a solid infrastructure with equally solid internal processes for hosting great virtual events. To date, we have hosted a number of them – both our own and in partnership with brands – with great success.

So this new offering has been on our minds for some time, and we believe there is no better time than now to launch Tech in Asia Live, an annual subscription to all of our online events and workshops.

About TIA Live

But don’t think of TIA Live as a subscription to yet another bunch of webinars. We’ve put in a lot of thought to ensure that our Live events are not run-of-the-mill ones, and each session is conceptualized and produced to be relevant, practical, and thought-provoking. Post-event handouts and materials will also be made accessible for participants, which will come in handy when putting the knowledge imparted in the sessions into action.

Live subscribers are also entitled to other perks such as access to five news stories and videos, our daily curated newsletters, and weekly letters from our chief editor.

For a start, here are three special series you can look forward to:

1. No BS Series

Allow us to play the devil’s advocate. In this unscripted series, expect contentious and unpopular opinions regarding the tech landscape and more. Each session is a safe environment where you can share thought provoking-ideas and stories, no filter required.

The first installment of the No BS Series happens on 30 September. Titled “The F-Word: Is Funding really as simple as (Series) ABC?”, it will be a discussion on “smart” money and attracting the “right” investors. Find out more and RSVP here.

2. Like a Guru Series

This training-based series aims to enhance your career and personal skills with the help of industry experts. Think of it as a workshop where you’ll walk away learning a new skill or concept, complete with worksheets specially prepared for each session.

3. Coffee Talk Series

Got something brewing? Join us in this hangout series where we sit with the best-in-class leaders and decision-makers. This two-way open-ended session is a great platform for you to have all your burning questions answered!

The only events subscription you need

These aren’t all. With your subscription, you can access all three series, join our other meetups, plus attend our two biggest annual conferences – the Product Development Conference and the Tech in Asia Conference – at no additional cost.

With the launch of TIA Live, we are running an introductory offer of only US$59/year (U.P US$99/year) for a limited time to show gratitude to our early backers. If you are a Core subscriber, TIA Live is already part of your subscription plan. For Lite subscribers, we welcome you to upgrade to Core to unlock everything Tech in Asia.

Pandemic or not, we’re always committed to showcasing the best and the brightest from Asia’s tech ecosystem and making relevant content as accessible and valuable as possible.
