As part of the program, participants will be able to test their ideas with guidance from advisors and venture partners. During this time, co-founders will be paid a monthly stipend of about S$5,000 (US$3,700) per month for three months. EF will also invest S$75,000 (US$56,000) into each of the teams that reach the launch phase. This collective investment is made in exchange for a 10% stake in every company.

At the end of the program, EF will introduce the startups to its network of investors who will help the companies raise their first round of investment.

Here are the companies from the cohort:

  • Airboxr is the developer of a no-code analytics tool for business users to consolidate and analyze data across multiple sources right within their spreadsheets.
  • Nanofy leverages nanotechnology to create “self-disinfection” nanomaterials that kill microbes on contact through the absorption of visible light.
  • Peakflo created a software-as-a-service platform that improves cash flow liquidity for small and medium-sized enterprises through a pay later solution and automates accounts receivable processes for payees.
  • Project Nomi  is a tech platform that connects drivers with insurance companies directly to receive insurance risk analysis and premium pricing with the aim of delivering cost savings for drivers.
  • Sepsitron is a healthtech firm that developed a point-of-care and portable solution for diagnosing infectious diseases on the spot.
  • Twurs provides travel businesses with a customizable and modular management software that can assist users with real-time bookings and reselling services.

Peakflo has secured term sheets from lead investors and is looking to close their round with follow-on funding, while Project Nomi has secured seed funding and has closed their round. It is also working on securing additional funding this year.

EF claims to have over US$2 billion in combined portfolio value, working with over 2,000 individuals who have launched more than 300 startups.
