Indonesian payments platform gets seed funding from AppWorks Ventures

Paying for school fees should be as easy as paying for electricity bills, says InfraDigital founder Ian McKenna.

That’s the rationale behind InfraDigital, a digital invoicing and payments platform that helps schools manage and record fees paid via cashless transactions.

Founded in 2018, the Indonesian fintech startup has raised seed capital to roll out more features and expand its network of payments partners that include banks and mobile payments apps.

To date, InfraDigital supports over 90 learning institutions in Indonesia.

Last year, the startup recorded a total transaction value of 30 billion Indonesian rupiah (US$2.1 million) from more than 20,000 students.

Leading InfraDigital’s funding round was AppWorks Ventures. Fenox Ventures and angel investors from Google, Netflix, and Mercari participated in the round.
