China’s representative teams for Star Ladder IX has been decided. After a 2-1 win against Team Newbee in the lower bracket finals, Invictus Gaming (iG) will be joining Team DK to represent China in the Star Ladder IX LAN finals in Kiev, Ukraine.
This is the first time iG will be flying out of China since The International 2013 (TI3). Team DK, on the other hand, had participated in two tournaments outside of China since the post-TI3 reshuffle. They participated MLG Columbus in the US where they won second place and in the Nexon Invitational Super Match in Korea.
DK and iG were supposed to face off in the overall finals for the Chinese division, but iG chose to forfeit the best-of-three series, allowing DK to be seeded first and iG second. The LAN finals will be held on April 17 to 20 at the Cyberarena in Kiev, Ukraine where they will face four teams from Europe, one from America, and one from Korea.
