Indonesian self-growth edtech firm gets East Ventures backing in seed round

Indonesia-based Mindtera, a personal growth learning platform, said it has secured an undisclosed amount of capital from East Ventures in a seed round.

According to a statement, Silicon Valley-based Hustle Fund, Traveloka’s Henry Hendrawan, and other angel investors also chipped in during the round.

Founded earlier this year, Mindtera is an educational platform that caters to social and physical intelligence and self-development. It provides programs that require just five minutes a day and are backed by science and clinical evidence.

The startup was established by Tita Ardiati, a certified life coach and senior statistician with over 14 years of experience in research, and Bayu Bhaskoro, a senior professional with more than 10 years of experience in multinational advertising firms.

Mindtera said it currently has 15 employees across its product, psychology, content creation, engineering, and life-coaching teams.

“The fresh funding will be used to strengthen the product and technology team, launch more exciting features, accelerate brand awareness, and build capacity in responding to market needs,” said Bhaskoro, who doubles as the company’s chief marketing officer.
