In brief: Indonesian co-working startup banks $2.7m in bridge round

  • Jakarta-based co-working and events solutions provider Greenhouse raised roughly US$2.7 million in a bridge round as it looks to improve its capabilities to help companies enter and scale in Southeast Asia, The Business Times reports.
  • The funding round was led by seven new investors and seven existing investors, including Dilip and Deepak Chugani of Indonesia’s KNS Group.
  • “We’re currently negotiating on five new spaces across Indonesia and the Philippines, and are also exploring options in Singapore,” said Vicknesh Pillay, co-founder of Greenhouse.
  • The startup plans to launch two to three new co-working spaces this year and complete a series A round in 2020.
