1️⃣ TikTok newest bidder: Oracle
Besides Microsoft and Twitter, business management software company Oracle is also reportedly bidding for the short-video app’s operations in the US.
2️⃣ China calls US’s latest action ‘“nothing short of bullying”
The US will impose tighter restrictions on Huawei, making it harder for the Chinese phone maker to purchase commercially available chips for building its smartphones. China has called out the US for “abusing their state power in the name of national security.”
3️⃣ Beijing: The country’s new esports hub
“E-sports Beijing 2020” was unveiled by the Chinese Communist Party last weekend. This initiative will provide subsidies to teams, arenas, and video games, as well as schedule more than 20 esports events this year.
4️⃣ Flipkart to enter the e-pharmacy space
After the launch of Amazon Pharmacy in India, the Walmart-owned ecommerce company Flipkart is also reportedly building it’s e-pharmacy business, holding early-stage partnership talks with other e-pharmacy firms.
