Edtech firm LingoAce bolsters Southeast Asia expansion efforts with key hires
Global education technology firm LingoAce is eyeing to double its headcount of 60 employees at its Singapore headquarters. To boost its Southeast Asian expansion, it also announced the hiring of Goh Aik Chuan as regional general manager and Chua Min Han as regional head of product and operations.
Experience:
- Goh, who previously held leadership roles in Uber and Geneco and was a former McKinsey consultant, will focus on LingoAce’s expansion efforts in Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.
- Chua was head of operations for Gojek, helping launch the company’s GoCar service in Singapore. He will work to enhance the platform’s user experience for parents and learners.

- Goh said the company expects the number of students in Singapore, its second largest market after the US, to double over the next six months.
- LingoAce will boost hiring for various roles in business development, product, sales, student services and support, and teaching. It also has open roles for various leadership positions.
- The startup offers live Chinese-language learning programs and interactive digital content online. It is also looking to offer English-language classes in 2021.
