You’d be forgiven for not recognizing Duan Yongping’s name. He’s quite the reclusive billionaire. You will, however, quite likely recognize the two smartphone brands he founded – Oppo and Vivo. In February, IDC’s report on China’s smartphone market leaders showed that these two brands captured the #1 and #3 spots respectively, beating Apple who came in #4. What is Duan Yongping’s secret?
