Indian fashion tech startup nets $150k as part of seed round
Indian business-to-business startup CouchFashion said it has raised US$150,000 as part of its seed funding. The fashion tech company got the investment from We Founder Circle, a global community of founders and strategic angels that invest US$50,000 to US$150,000 in early-stage startups.

Founded in 2017, CouchFashion provides fashion-specific image recognition technology and content network platform for ecommerce companies and fashion brands. Its technology solution makes real-time style recommendations to users when they want to buy a product online.
Its content commerce tools help bring customers to the ecommerce platforms and inspire them to buy as well as increase purchase size and re-engage shoppers after sales or in case of abandoned carts, the company said in a statement.
With the new funds, CouchFashion plans to increase product offerings, develop content partnerships, and expand its team across all departments.
It’s also looking to expand globally in the coming years, said Rohit Jaiswal, CEO and co-founder at CouchFashion.
“After pandemic, one industry that has witnessed boom is ecommerce. India’s ecommerce market alone is expected to grow about US$100 billion by 2023. As a result, there is a lot of innovation happening in this segment to attract, engage, and retain the consumers,” said Neeraj Tyagi, We Founder Circle’s CEO and founder.
