500 Startups unveils 20 startups in Taiwan Tech Arena accelerator program

500 Startups unveiled 20 startups that will be part of an accelerator program that the global venture capital firm is organizing in partnership with Taiwan Tech Arena, which operates under the island’s Ministry of Science and Technology.

The program, which received over 180 applications, aims to invest in local and international startups that show potential in scaling regionally and globally.

Startups in the latest cohort are involved in sectors like healthcare, human resources, consumer services, information technology, fintech, education, marketing, and design.

“For years, Taiwan was well-known as a major chip manufacturer but we are now making significant strides in the digital space,”  said a TTA spokesperson.

The eight-week accelerator program offers startups a growth curriculum curated by 500 Startups, including workshops and masterclasses and gives participants access to 500 Startups’ network of mentors, founders, and industry stakeholders.

The startups selected in the program are:

Aibou, a workforce management tool with data analytics for industries involving shift work.

Ai-direct, a healthtech platform that helps dentists with AI algorithm and provides them access to a database, which can help with precise treatment options for patients.

Aiseed, an autonomous drone platform, which can help companies adopt advanced autonomous vehicles and reduce redundant operations.

ArtzyPlanet, which connects creative professionals with companies for new business opportunities.

CreatorDB, an influencer-marketing software platform that uses data analytics and AI to help companies run marketing campaigns with social media creators.

Crescendo Lab, which provides firms with software and data solutions for efficient customer relationship solutions.

Dent&Co, an online dental appointment-booking platform.
