Sydney’s Incubate Program Cherry-Picks 8 Startups For Winter Intake

Three months back we wrote about the startups who graduated from the Incubate program at the University of Sydney, which includes Edisse Watch and CloudHerd.

Today, the Australia-based student union backed startup program has revealed the eight startups for its winter 2013 intake, and is currently three weeks into the program. Who are the final eight receiving free co-working space at the Incubate Startup Hub? Check out the list below:

1. Drivelist

For those looking to buy cars, this startup delivers cars to your workplace or home for you to test drive. You can choose from over 120 cars on the site, which will then be delivered at your convenience for a free road-test.

2. JobGPS

JobGPS positions itself as an online expert that provides advice to users about their career decisions. There will be an expert community for them to discover the options available and the steps to get there, which includes connecting directly to employers.

3. MakeUpSocial

I think the biggest fear for most women when it comes to beauty and makeup is purchasing the wrong beauty product (it can be pretty detrimental to the skin, sometimes). This platform caters to ladies out there, giving them more information, so that they can make the right purchase decisions when it comes to dolling themselves up.

4. Neighbourhood Networks

Be it baby sitting or car-wash services, this online services platform aids locals in finding services they require in their neighbourhood.

5. Positive Vapour

This startup positions itself as the next generation in aeroponics, facilitating sustainable and easy micro-farming. So now you can grow your own herbs, fruits, and vegetables with ease.
