1. Zuu | Japan (Startup Profile)
Zuu is one of Japan’s largest finance-related media sites which offers a variety of news and columns related to banking, securities, equity, real estate, insurance, and taxes – each written by an expert in one of those sectors.
2. Express Bike Wash | India (Startup Profile)
Express Bike Wash, an India-based automated motorcycle washing machine that’s been testing the waters in Indonesia since April this year. The machine can do several types of washes, including simple water washes and complex wax washes. It also has internal brushes and sprayers that can get into the nooks and crannies of your bike.
3. Vanitee | Singapore (Startup Profile)
Vanitee offers a marketplace where users can connect with beauty professionals and book their services. The platform features nail and make-up artists, hair stylists, and other beauticians who offer their services through the mobile app. It also provides customer relationship management (CRM) tools, real-time scheduling, online marketing, and operational set-up, making life easier for self-employed beauticians.
4. Linqapp | Taiwan (Startup Profile)
Linqapp is a language exchange app launched in 2013 that crowdsources translations by real people.
The startup recently launched Linqapp Live – a service that connects you in real-time to translators who can help you over a voice call on the spot.
5. Hiring Screen | Hong Kong (Startup Profile)
HR tech startup Hiring Screen allows you to set up jobs, input applications, and then sort and rank applicants automatically through “blink scores,” which are generated based on metrics of your choosing. The platform makes an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of candidates in relation to your job postings.
6. Zuwoba | China (Startup Profile)
Zuwoba – which means “Rent me” in Chinese – is a Beijing-based social networking app which lets you “rent” people you’d like to learn a skill from – perhaps someone who knows how to draw well, or someone who’s an excellent soccer player. It’s like a tutoring service, but “teachers” on Zuwoba can offer help with pretty much anything.
