2014 was a great year for Indonesia’s tech startup scene. Not only did the country see more funding rounds, it also saw bigger investment sizes. Tokopedia championed the 2014 funding year thanks to its US$100 million investment, but who else made some dough last year?
We saw investments made in some common sectors like ecommerce, travel, and online directories. A decent amount of attention was also turned to newer industries like education and mobile apps. However, most of the investments made in Indonesia did not disclose their dollar amounts.
On average, there were about two to three funding deals announced every month in Indonesia. Below we’ve put together an infographic to visualize all of them, listing all of Indonesia’s disclosed startup investments in 2014.
