IEM is bringing more LOL and Starcraft 2 to Taipei this January

Fans of eSports in Asia may have already gotten to see some games live this year if they trekked to the Intel Extreme Masters stop in Shenzhen this summer. But IEM is coming to Asia again before Season 9 draws to a close, with League of Legends and Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm events to be held in Taipei this coming January. Here’s the relevant section of ESL’s announcement:

The first Intel Extreme Masters event in 2015 will take place in Taipei, the leading esports country in Southeast Asia, with both StarCraft® II: Heart of the Swarm® and League of Legends® esports competition at the Taipei Game Show from January 28th – February 1st.

For now, that’s all the detail we’ve got. Given that Taiwan just got to host the first stage of the League of Legends Season 4 World Championships last week, it certainly seems that Taiwanese eSports fans are enjoying plenty of opportunities to see their favorite teams play live on the big stage.
