From The Straits Times:

Ongoing construction works at Knightsbridge mall on Orchard Road appear to indicate that Apple fans can look forward to a November opening for the first Apple Store here.

[Local Apple blog My Apple Singapore] observed that the white canvas at the front of the mall had been removed, which suggested that works were now focused on the installation of its “front facing huge glass panels like other renowned Apple Stores around the world”.

Photos from the construction site show the work completion date as October 31, 2016, so November looks like the month to watch.

Local Apple-philes have watched closely ever since Knightsbridge, which is in Singapore’s most prestigious retail area, was revealed as the location of the first full-blown Apple Store in the country.

The company’s products are currently sold through authorized third-party retailers here.

Apple has been hiring for the new store since November 2015, when it advertised 14 open retail positions, from store leader to business specialist to “Genius”. All listings are still open on its website.
