In brief: Vietnam’s VinaCapital acquires Singapore robo-advisory firm Smartly
- Vietnam-based investment management and real estate development firm VinaCapital has completed the acquisition of Smartly, a Singapore-based robo-advisory platform, Vietnam Finance reported.
- Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
- Smartly co-founder Keir Veskivali said the company will increase its scale and expand into new markets with the acquisition.
- Veskivali will continue to support Smartly as an advisor and will work with VinaCapital on other tech projects. Artur Luhaaar and Kentwell Kwok, the other two co-founders of Smartly, have decided to pursue other opportunities.
