HR firm HiBob locks in $150m in series D funding

HR firm HiBob has raised US$150 million in its series D funding round led by growth investor General Atlantic.

The fundraise brings the firm’s valuation to US$2.5 billion and follows HiBob’s US$150 million series C round in October 2021. The latest raise was also supported by other existing investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners.

Founded by Ronni Zehavi and Israel David in 2015, the US-headquartered firm provides its HR information system – Bob – to users in 166 countries.

The company will use the funds to support its growth and open additional regional offices in the next 24 months. HiBob also plans to pump more resources into growing its Singapore presence by making new hires and expanding product capabilities, said Damien Andreasen, the company’s regional head for Asia Pacific.

Since the fourth quarter of 2021, HiBob saw the addition of over 370 staff. It also saw expansions to its New York and London offices as well as a new office in Berlin.
