Forget about Twitter’s 140 characters limitation. With Twitvoice, we can now tweet with our voice through Twitter.
Launch on 31 March 2011 (freshly baked just days ago), Twitvoice was created to provide users with an additional option to communicate via Twitter. Twitvoice allows users to record a 15 seconds audio clip, creates a short-link and sends it to your Twitter network. The idea is similar to Google and Twitter’s voice tweet service for Egypt.
“It was one of the social media projects we thought might be interesting. It’s very simple… record and tweet. You can record your voice within 15 seconds and then share it on twitter. We bring voice to Twitter,” said Ryo Umezawa, co-founder of Pido, the start-up that developed Twitvoice.
Ryo Umezawa and Yusuke Tanaka founded Japan-based Pido in 2010, which focuses on building mobile-related services. Twitvoice is Pido’s first product.
I tried Twitvoice and thought it is pretty cool to have an alternative option to communicate via Twitter. You can check out my first voice tweet here. The iPhone app is intuitively designed for the users. There are only 2 tabs: (1) record a voice tweet and (2) check out what others have voice tweeted through #twitvoice.
