Founded by Eka Himawan and Edwin Widjonarko in 2018, Xurya helps companies deploy solar panels on the rooftops of their commercial and industrial buildings. The firm provides several payment schemes, allowing customers to pay in advance or enlist a partial or full lease with an option to buy at guaranteed prices.

It has carried out more than 40 solar rooftop installations for various industries and businesses, such as cold chain storage, textile factories, shopping malls, and hotels, and it counts startups like Traveloka and Tokopedia as its clients.

Xurya will use the fresh funds to increase access to financing for solar rooftop installations.

The company reportedly acquired seed funding from East Ventures and Agaeti Ventures in 2018. Two years later, it secured another round from Clime Capital through The Southeast Asia Clean Energy Facility.
