England’s Standard Chartered and MUFG Innovation Partners, the venture capital arm of Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, participated in the round, along with other investors.

Symphony plans to use the fresh funds to further develop its recently launched Market Solutions business, which offers customers a workflow automation solution accompanied by a suite of standardized and licensable software.

It also looks to accelerate growth in both its current and new markets, build out new features, and expand into Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Since its launch in 2014, Symphony claims to have 430,000 licensed users from over 60 countries. It also said its customers and partners had developed more than 1,000 bots and apps on its platform.

Symphony is based in California, with offices in Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris, Singapore, Sophia-Antipolis, Stockholm, and Tokyo.
