Update 5/11/2015: As we’re expecting one of the largest turnouts ever at Tech in Asia Jakarta 2015, we’ve amended guidelines to Startup Investor Speed-Dating to ensure that all startups get equal opportunities to meet with investors of their choice.
To participate in Startup-Investor Speed Dating, Office Hours and Meet the Media:
- NFC cards will be issued at the start of each day – you’re required to collect one if you wish to participate in any of the three events
- Tap your NFC card at the terminal registration table to get a queue number
- Once your session begins, tap the card on the terminal at your designated tables
Getting a queue number
- There will be two sessions for startup-investor speed dating each day
- Registration for pitching in each session will open at 9.30am and 1.30pm respectively
- Within each one hour time slot, there will be 5 available VCs you can choose to pitch to. You cannot choose to pitch to more than one VC within the same one hour time slot
- Each startup can pitch up to seven times on day 1, and six times on day 2 – limited to the number of queue cards available.

One of the most satisfying experiences an attendee can have at a conference, is meeting someone who can provide immense value to what they do. For many startups, these people usually take the form of investors or corporations who can ideally offer financial backing or at the very least, valuable feedback on a business idea.
At Tech in Asia, we aim to maximize the value of all conference attendees by creating spaces and opportunities for you to meet with the ever-elusive investors and corporations. Prepare to pitch your startup to participating investors and multi-national companies back-to-back in rapid succession at our signature events, Startup-Investor Speed Dating and Office Hours – an opportunity you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere.
If you’re a first-timer to our event, or simply curious to find out how it works, here’s a step-by-step visual guide to take you through these two popular segments across our Tech in Asia conferences.
