Google for Startups Accelerator: Circular Economy will focus on customer acquisition, product design, leadership development, circular economy deep dives, research, and workshops.
The virtual program will provide startups with one-on-one mentoring from Google engineers and external experts as well as project support on subjects such as AI, geospatial, machine learning, and Google Cloud. Each firm will also be assigned a dedicated success manager.
The cohort will include 10 to 15 startups that tackle challenges such as composting, fashion, food, reuse, recycling, refill, the built environment, as well as safe and circular materials.
Asia Pacific is the most vulnerable region to climate-change impact. Around 90% of all river-borne plastic in the ocean come from 10 rivers, eight of which are in the Asia Pacific. This new program aims to create innovations to help solve this problem.
Applications are open from today until November 14, 2022. The program starts in February 2023.
