WriterZen, a Singapore-based content creation firm, has received over US$1.3 million in a seed funding round led by Wavemaker Partners.

WriterZen is a software-as-a-service company that helps digital content creators streamline their search engine optimization workflow and produce content more efficiently.
Founded in May 2021, the firm currently serves more than 12,000 customers globally, which include marketing teams, SEO professionals, and agencies.
The fresh funds will support the company’s product expansion and its plans to enter Australia, the US, and the UK in 2023. The new capital will also allow it to continue investing in search engine intelligence platforms.
Moving forward, WriterZen will double down on its newly launched free e-learning platform, WriterZen Academy, and offer more courses.
According to Wavemaker Partners’ Phuong Tran, the global SEO market is valued at US$52 billion and is projected to grow to US$122 billion by 2028.
Since 2012, Wavemaker Partners has backed more than 180 companies, most of which are enterprise, deep tech, and sustainability startups. The firm has US$300 million in assets under management across four funds in the region.
