The program, which runs for six months, targets early-stage startups and offers coaching on topics like implementing business strategies, access to market, and funding.
The 36 startups were shortlisted from 157 applicants and grouped into more than 10 verticals, where they will be allocated a mentor from a pool of international and local industry players, fellow founders, and investors.
Startups that complete the program are eligible to receive up to 150,000 ringgit (US$34,160) in investment through the CIP Spark funding program. They will also receive additional investment and acceleration opportunities worth up to US$11,390 and an offer to join Malaysia’s Beyond4 accelerator.
Rafiza Ghazali, Cradle’s group CEO, said this cohort under the company’s MYStartup program, which was launched late last year, signaled the agency’s move toward capacity building.
