Google invests in Korean edtech startup
Mathpresso, the South Korea-based startup running learning app Qanda, said it has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Google.

Google’s funding will go to the edtech startup’s global expansion and technological advancement plans.
- “The investment by Google opens up exciting opportunities for Mathpresso and enhances our ability to serve students around the world,” said Soo Nahm, chief financial officer of Mathpresso.

In June, Mathpresso raised US$50 million in its series C funding.
- Its Qanda app now has 12 million monthly users from more than 50 countries. Among its users, 85% come from outside South Korea, with strong bases in Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand.
