In today’s Google Chrome announcement, the team has revealed that the browser has over 120 million users over the course of two years.
As emphasized during the keynote, speed is Chrome’s core competency and is what attracted users to switch to Chrome. The Chrome team has further enhanced its speed by integrating instant search into its mini web address bar.
For example, if you enter ‘t’ on your address bar, the Chrome browser will load Twitter.com instantly. The team has also demonstrated the Chrome browser’s ability to load PDF at amazing speed (900 page PDF loaded in split seconds).

Google Chrome Browser has advanced much in speed. Its latest version, Chrome with Crankshaft, is 32x faster compared to the Internet Explorer 2 years ago.

The much-awaited web Store is introduced next. The web app store is made simple for purchase with Google Checkout. This is probably the most important introduction for the Chrome Browser as Google cements its authority in the browser war. Google Web Store works like any other application store out there in the market but working the apps require just the Chrome browser.

Google Web Store has just launched but already has a healthy range of applications for users to shop around. Google has again move an inch closer toward its vision for the web. Any web application should be open and accessible as long as users are connected to the web. It seems that Google Chrome Browser is poised to be the ‘iPhone’ in the web browser market.
