Good Doctor Indonesia launches separate app from JV partnership with Grab
Good Doctor Technology Indonesia, a joint venture of Ping An Good Doctor and Grab, has launched a separate “Good Doctor” app after a year of integration on the Singaporean internet giant’s main app, DailySocial reported.
Details:
- The Good Doctor app will offer the same services as the version integrated in the Grab app, including teleconsulting services, online medicine purchases, and medical appointments, among others.
- Good Doctor Technology Indonesia managing director Danu Wicaksana said in a March 1 virtual presser that with the move, the company aims to accelerate the use of healthtech applications in the country, including in the more remote areas.
Context:
- According to the report, Good Doctor’s services have seen an 8x to 10x increase in usage since the start of the pandemic, with most coming from its teleconsulting services.
- The company said it accommodates over 10,000 teleconsultations a day and has partnered with more than 1,000 medical institutions and 2,000 pharmacies in the country.
