In brief: Huawei CEO expects revenue to dip in 2019, 2020 amid US ban (UPDATE)
(Update on June 18: Huawei’s head exec said that the company expects the US ban to slash away about US$30 billion off of its revenue for the year)
- Huawei Technologies founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei expects the company’s revenue to go down to around US$100 billion in 2019 and 2020 as a result of the US ban, Reuters reported.
- The telecom giant’s head exec also said they did not expect that the determination to “crack” the company would be “so strong and so pervasive.”
- Huawei’s international smartphone shipments will drop 40%, Zhengfei added, without specifying a time period.
